Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026.

1. What Ezer is

Ezer is a directory and messaging platform that connects customers in Accra with independent plumbers and electricians ("providers"). Ezer is not a party to any job a customer and provider agree to — we don't employ providers, set their prices, or handle payment for their work. Providers are independent businesses responsible for their own work, pricing, and conduct.

2. Accounts

You need an account to book a provider, chat, leave a review, or list your services. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information — providers in particular must be truthful about their identity, experience, and the services they offer, since customers rely on this to decide who to trust.

3. Provider verification

Providers submit an ID document (e.g. Ghana Card) as part of signing up. We review this before a provider is allowed to appear in search — a "Verified" badge means we've checked their identity, not that we guarantee the quality of their work. Customers should still use their own judgment, ask questions, and check reviews before booking.

4. Bookings, chat, and reviews

Booking a provider through Ezer sends them a request they can accept or decline. Once connected, the in-app chat (including any photos you share) is between you and the other person — Ezer doesn't moderate every message, but we do act on reports.

Only a customer with a completed booking can leave a review for that job. Reviews must be honest and about your actual experience — fake, retaliatory, or abusive reviews may be removed.

5. Fees

Browsing, messaging, and booking through Ezer is free. Any price for the actual job (materials, labor, callout fees) is agreed directly between you and the provider — Ezer is not involved in that payment and takes no commission at this time.

6. Acceptable use

  • Don't impersonate someone else or provide false verification documents.
  • Don't use the chat or reviews to harass, threaten, or scam another user.
  • Don't scrape, resell, or misuse data from the platform.
  • Providers: don't list services you're not qualified or licensed to perform.

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules, including based on a report from another user.

7. Reports and moderation

Customers can report a provider directly from their profile. Reports go to the Ezer team for review and may result in a warning, suspension, or removal from the platform. We don't share who filed a report with the provider it concerns.

8. Disclaimer and liability

Ezer connects people — we don't inspect, supervise, or guarantee any provider's work. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ezer isn't liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of any job arranged through the platform, or for disputes between customers and providers. We recommend agreeing on the scope of work and price before it starts, and raising any concerns with the provider directly first.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as Ezer grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above — continuing to use Ezer after that means you accept the change.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms? Reach the Ezer team through the contact details on our homepage.

This document is a starting point written for Ezer's actual features, not a substitute for advice from a lawyer. Before a wider public launch, it's worth having it reviewed against Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and any other rules that apply to your business.
